BitRhymes makes social mobile games. On facebook we have acquired 10M+ installs on hit titles like Bingo Bash, Salon Street and The Warlords. Our recent hit Bingo Bash is already attractive 200k daily active users.
Our strength is our spectacular team. The management and key employees have been part of social media space since early 2007. Previous to venturing into games in 2010, the same management team bootstrapped the business into profitability, acquiring 25+M users across casual apps on social networks like Myspace and hi5, built many partnerships and most importantly built a kickass team which understood social when no one else could.
Management Team
Sumit Gupta, Founder and CEO.
Sumit has 14 years of experience in web startups. His technology experience ranges from deep understanding of consumer behavior patterns, social media, social gaming, web 2.0 and analytics. Previous to BitRhymes, he was VP Strategy and Business Development at Monetize Media, the first internet TV platform with video intelligence. Previous to that, he was founding team member at Business Signatures and played a key role in product and sales strategy, and eventually to a successful acquisition.
In his free time Sumit loves to read books. Though lately he just wants to spend it all playing with his 5 year old son! He has Masters from University of Missouri and Bachelors from IIT Delhi.
Vikas Gupta, Co Founder and CTO.
Vikas has 12 years of strong technical experience in web and flash based technologies. Prior to BitRhymes, Vikas was a lead developer at Yahoo’s Platform team where he wrote search middleware and custom databases which run on thousands of networked servers and handle more than a billion queries a day.
In his free time Vikas mentors high school kids in robotics for international robotics competition. He also enjoys winter sports. Vikas has BS in Electrical from PEC India.
Lalit Patel, Co Founder and Director India.
Lalit has 5 years of strong technical experience building rich and scalable web2.0 applications supporting millions of users across the globe. Prior to BitRhymes, Lalit was part of the initial technical team at SlideShare.net which helped take the product through the beta stage and beyond having 40million widget views per day. At SlideShare, he helped develop a proprietary low-size file format for converting documents into web-viewable and embeddable in flash.
In his free time Lalit experiments on his terrace garden growing exotic and not so exotic plants. He is BTech in Computer Science from KIIT, Bhubaneswar.
